Lifestyle Medicine Classes
Held just before the Wild Weed Walks, these classes focus on the basics of lifestyle medicine.

Basics of Bread Making
THIS CLASS IS FULL!  There is still room in the weed walk.

April 26th at 1:00 - 2:45 pm
I am no expert bread baker, but I do make wonderful 100% fresh ground and soaked bread for my family several times a week, and I can teach you some of the tips so you can do the same. We will explore the different types of wheat, grinding your own berries, soaking your flour in relation to phytic acid and optimal health and digestion, and explore technique, and spin-offs from the basic sandwich loaf recipe including flatbread, pita, tortilla and more. Come ready to eat some bread!

Greens: Optimal Nourishment in Everyday Life
June 14th at 1:00 - 2:45 pm
In the Wise Woman Tradition we know that our health and wholeness is directly connected to our everyday lives and the optimal nourishment contained in this space. With this in mind, let's explore the role of greens as partners in building deep health and vibrancy. We will look at wild greens to eat everyday, as well as learn how to prepare cultivated greens in new and different ways with different flavor combinations so that you actually *enjoy* eating your greens. We will also explore infusions and seaweed, as well as long-simmered broths enriched with greens and mushrooms.  Come ready to eat some greens!
