Rita Bober
Rita Bober, a retired social worker is a spiritual midwife, herbalist and organic gardener. She has over 25 years experience working with groups including facilitation of rituals/retreats/ceremonial circles.
Rita is a member of the Minniss Kitigan Drum, a spiritual group started by Keewaydinoquay Margaret Peschel and is on the board of the Holy Hill Center, a trust set up by Keewaydinoquay to preserve her Ojibwe teachings and herbal knowledge. Rita is a graduate of Rosemary Gladstar’s Herbal Studies Program. She trained with Eliot Cowan, the founder of Plant Spirit Medicine. She has been a member of United Plant Savers for almost 10 years.
Started by Rosemary Gladstar, United Plant Savers is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to the preservation of native medicinal plants. The intent is to assure the increasing abundance of the medicinal plants which are presently in decline due to expanding popularity and shrinking habitat and range. Come and learn about these “at-risk” plants and how to help preserve our herbal future.
